There are places where a tent doesn't just have to be beautiful.
It has to perform. Withstand. Last.
This project took us to one of the world's most demanding coastlines, known for hosting some of the biggest waves on the planet. There, we installed a custom-designed Beduinos Tent to become the main restaurant of a new premium glamping site.
Measuring 19 x 20 meters, with a 780 g/m² sand-colored canvas and a structure designed to remain in place from now until November, every technical decision was geared towards a single objective: to offer maximum safety without sacrificing aesthetics.
To guarantee stability, we used one-meter-deep threaded bolts, combined with a high-strength webbing system that allows us to face the weather conditions with complete peace of mind.
One of the project's unique features was the design of the transparent side walls, specifically developed to protect visitors from the wind and rain without obstructing the view of the landscape. The result is a completely sheltered space that still feels open to its surroundings.
An International Setup
Behind every installation is a team willing to go wherever needed.
On this occasion, the setup brought together professionals from South Africa, Mallorca, Ibiza, and Barcelona. Part of the team made a 9-hour and 45-minute road trip transporting all the materials, while the rest flew to Porto before continuing on to the glamping site.
These were days of intense work, coordination, and many technical challenges, but also of those moments that make our profession special: sharing a house by the sea, enjoying the scenery at the end of the day, and building together a project that will last throughout the season.
Designed to Last
Each location presents a different challenge. Some demand speed. Others precision. And others, like this one, the confidence of knowing that the structure will continue to perform exactly the same after weeks of wind, rain, and continuous use.
Because a Beduinos Tent isn't designed solely to impress on opening day.
It is designed to continue functioning when conditions are no longer ideal.
